The Lion Trophy Show [edit]

Year of birth, or 1994, until 1996, this program is entitled The Lion Trophy Show because it was based solely on the interactive game. This transmission, conducted in the first three editions of Emily De Cesare and later by Adriana Volpe, was aired live in the early evening (20:00), and was also the choice of innovative programming early evening, absolutely atypical for target children / adolescents, that given the success of the initiative, began to be used by other networks. In a season transmission was also used as a container of cartoons (remember, among others, Les Miserables, The stone of dreams and Future Boy Conan).

The first edition [edit]

The first edition of Lion Trophy Show aired in 1994 on TMC, led by Emily De Caesar.

The game had its own story and was a single level: the only purpose of the competitor was to win as many bonuses as possible, overcoming the various obstacles on the tracks. These are the two settings of the game:
The railway in the desert: the top level of the first version of the game was set in a railway Lion in the desert. Lion rode in a cart along the tracks and between a bonus and the other, faced a crossroads. To continue you must choose the right track to avoid ending up in a ravine.
The descent of snow: At one point was added to a new level as an alternative to the other, he saw Lion on a sled red faced with a snowy downhill. At intersections, the player had to avoid going against the mountains of snow that had invaded one of two ways.

The second edition [edit]

The second edition of The Lion Trophy Show aired in 1995 on TMC, led once again by Emily De Cesare assisted by Massimo Sangermano who played a cute and quirky studio assistant.

The game, unlike the previous version, it had a definite history, created specifically to make more attractive the adventures of Lion: a mad scientist named Malvagius, had captured Leila's girlfriend Lion, hiding on a deserted island: the competitor Lion had to drive through five levels to reach and defeat Malvagius order to save Leila.

Each competitor pressing the "0" key to start playing: started as the introductory movie showing Lion, departing on his cart, which controlled that you have brought the three lives at his disposal. Here are the five levels of this second edition of the game:
The campaign (Level 1): In this level the player had to face a series of obstacles that could be present in a different way. In a first junction V there was one part of a car is parked and the other pigs: depending on the case, one of these two subjects invaded one of the two roads and was to be avoided. A second junction V starring a bus to get around, which in one case was heading dangerously towards us, while the other was traveling perpendicularly onto the road at the end of the fork. After that you could go towards a level crossing with a train to avoid depending on the direction of it, or near a barn that could be crossed only if the front door was open.
The forest (Level 2): In this second level, the player must avoid crashing into Lion with trees in the path.
The gold mine (Level 3): In this third level the player had to open a series of locked gates and immediately choose the only three entries that had the gate open, to prevent Lion crashed into the gratings were closed .
The castle (Level 4): At this level, after entering the castle, Lion down from his cart and the player chose to enter one of the two available ports and so, depending on the case, addressed one of these two tests: the first took place in a kitchen, where a cook ghost hurled Lion pots and pans that the competitor was readily avoid jumping or bending, depending on the direction in which they were heading, and the second took place on a mill, and in this case the competitor was to enable Lion to cross the two wheels of it at the right time before the player was attacked by bats.

After passing one of these two tests, Lion entered a room with three tubes: the competitor chose one of the three entrances hoping to have guessed the right one: if it was wrong, Lion was sent back in the same room and the player then lost precious seconds under of the total score.
The basis of Malvagius (Level 5): In this level Lion traveling on a small spaceship and was armed with a laser gun. Here the player had to open a door, and soon after had to repeat the same thing, only this time behind the second door appeared to be a robot that had to be eliminated. This sequence was repeated once more, after which Lion came into the main room where there was Malvagius and waiting for one last big robot that you had to avoid electric shock and then delete it.

In conclusion, it was shown the final movie: Lion took it and flung to the ground Malvagius and soon headed to swim to the island where she had been segregated his beloved Leila.

The third edition [edit]

The third edition of The Lion Trophy Show is aired between 1995 and 1996 about TMC, conducted by Emily always assisted by Massimo De Cesare Sangermano.

The game changed again face with a brand new story: Malvagius Lion had sent in the past thanks to a mysterious weapon, only for an error target was hit a guy named Bobo competitor had to drive Lion, accompanied by the 'occasion by Bobo, in Chicago in the year 30, in Egypt and in an age of pre-Columbian temple and then return to the present and defeat once again Malvagius which, as usual, had captured Leila.

The game was not numerically divided into levels as previously, since the transition from a historical period to another occurred, in a totally random, through a door space / time.

Each competitor pressing the "0" key to start playing: started as the introductory movie showing what is narrated in the story.
Chicago, the 30 - At this level, the contestant had to follow a red van on the streets of Chicago when the two protagonists were lost, they encountered a dead end dealing with a disreputable gang ...
Egypt - In this level, set in a pyramid of ancient Egypt, there were several hurdles to stem; contested a flashlight, the player had to skip a part of the floor on the verge of collapse, then had to avoid, one after the other , three mummies eager to fill Lion and traveling companion Bobo kisses ... Overcome this obstacle, the two protagonists had to flee from another group of mummies particularly ... loving, down a corridor, choosing the only one of the three doors that were faced without mummy.
The Temple - At this level, one of the most complicated of all, the player had to deal with more puzzles. First was to allow two players to walk the stairs past the steps that were going to collapse, after which we stood in front of a checkerboard floor. To get to the other side, the competitor must jump over one of the three tiles to reach with a jump, not exactly on the only collapsed, all with great alertness, to avoid seeing the two protagonists fall down. After this difficult point, Lion and friend Bobo came up on a log and began like a mad dash on a long slide with three forks in V that were overcome by choosing the direction that would allow to continue the race without falling into the ravine.
The aerial combat - Back in the present, the only Lion faced this fight in the mountains against the aircraft Malvagius. The player must prevent the aircraft Lion cozzasse against the mountain walls: in this case Lion always managed to open the parachute, but still had to do with a bird ... The aircraft was destroyed tougher directly from the player, and overcome this obstacle, Lion, released from the plane with his parachute, landed near a submarine where Bobo was waiting for him ...
The submarine - At the latter level, linked to the previous one without any intermission, the competitor must ensure that the submarine crashed into the rock wall, to tell the truth is not always highly visible, after which he had to follow a dolphin the input of the base of Malvagius. Later, the player had to drop missiles against a number of enemy submarines, and finally go through a long corridor ...

The fourth edition [edit]

The fourth edition of The Lion Trophy Show is aired between 1996 and 1997 on TMC2, led by Adriana Volpe.

The game was essentially unchanged from the previous year, but were joined by two brand new levels:
Middle Ages - This level, as an alternative to one of the other three historical periods, was set in a medieval castle. Upon entering the reception hall, Lion and the companion adventure Bobo had to follow the pro-great-aunt Leila in one of the three doors located in back of the room, not to be processed in two toads by a magician. Then, along a staircase, the player in the role of Lion was faced with two warriors, while the last room he was in close contact with a fearsome dragon that had to quickly avoid the three flames.
The fighting on speedboat - As an alternative to aerial combat, it could happen to face the men of Malvagius on a motorboat. The only difficulty of this level was to avoid crashing on the beach. Even at the end of this fight Lion met Bobo on the submarine.

In conclusion, it was shown the final movie: Lion destroyed the basis of Malvagius with the last missile and saved Leila.

The Lion Network [edit]

Since 1997 until 2000, this program is entitled The Lion Network because it was based solely on the game more interactive, it became a real network (hence the new title) whose content, ranging from several themes, always pointing to young people. Important was the interaction with the website of the program and more generally with the web, the starting point for the arguments of each bet, by the editors virtual present study. The topics were chosen by the public in an interactive way home. The first two editions were conducted by Adriana Volpe, to which was added the former veejay Andrea Besana that took care of the external services, and the last edition was made by Leonor Varela with the same Besana. The timing was almost unchanged.

The fifth edition [edit]

The fifth edition of The Lion Network aired between 1997 and 1998 on TMC2, led by Adriana Volpe with Andrea Besana curator of external services. In this study it was also an editor virtual Daniele Balit, who was in charge of the interaction with the network. Every day of the game were played two games, one fewer than in the past.

The game was almost identical to that of the previous edition, but were still made of the changes. First, came the pregioco, a challenge that starred three candidates competing, only one of which could participate in the actual game. This preliminary test, set this year in the old level of the campaign of the game in the second edition, was to score as much points as possible. The screen showed pregioco down a sort of table with the names of the three competitors and a red bar for everyone who increased or decreased depending on the percentage achieved. The two competitors who lost however received a T-shirt Lion as a consolation prize.

Before pressing the "0" key, the player could choose to navigate the easy or difficult this choice depended on the presence of a level rather than another, and this could also change the keyboard layout, another big change that characterized this and the following edition.

Between one match and one other person at home (it was never a competitor of the game) decided the issue of the day, pressing the phone button corresponding to one of the three topics listed in a virtual screen. At this point departed the corresponding movie, at the end of which the editor virtual signaled Internet sites inherent therein. The topics chosen not remained on the screen until someone would have opted for one of these.

The sixth edition [edit]

The sixth edition of The Lion Network aired between 1998 and 1999 on TMC2, led once again by Adriana Volpe with Andrea Besana curator of external services. In the studio there were also five editors for the following virtual "macro-themes" computer science (with the editor virtual Daniele Balit), music (with the editor Natasya Martelli), sports (with the editor Gianluca APA), exploration (with the editor Francesca Benedetti ) art and entertainment (with the editor Maximum wet), who took care of the interaction with the network. Remained unchanged the timing of the program and the number of games daily.

Before the game itself, it was confirmed pregioco, set this time in the level of Chicago '30s.

The game could be considered a hybrid of what has been seen in the past, since it took over the story and the levels of the second edition, more combat aircraft or motorboat, taken in random order. The moment the pipe room was animated with a new character in the flesh, the virus Max, who through the short and funny movies informed the player the loss of 1000 points when he guessed the correct input. In the fifth level, the base of Malvagius, after the destruction of the last robot, Lion faced the same corridor already seen in the final level of the submarine.

Was introduced to a new object to be recovered, the chest, which catapulted the player in a new screen with a question he had to answer exactly to earn 10000 points.

The choice of the day by a person from home took place in a completely different way than the previous year, as they had been introduced five macro-themes, one per day, and so the choice was restricted to the theme of the episode:
Monday: computer
Tuesday: Music
Wednesday: sports
Thursday: exploration
Friday: Arts and Entertainment

The seventh edition [edit]

The seventh and final edition of The Lion Network aired between 1999 and 2000 on TMC2 conducted by Leonor Varela with Andrea Besana. In the studio there were also three editors virtual (among others were Daniel and Max), who took care of the interaction with the network. Remained unchanged the timing of the program and the number of games daily.

In the seventh edition of the game, which was almost identical to the previous year, was eliminated pregioco, while the objects was removed between the demand arising from the taking of the "treasure" which gave directly to the player 10,000 points up for grabs, and was introduced the snack "Golden Lion" which catapulted Lion in one of two secret levels, or the "cloaca" and "mysterious corridor," chock-full of snacks "Lion" worth 5000 points each.
