Lion & Bobo Adventures (TMC, 1996) fake review
Posts by Milko Channel 5 »Tue Jun 28, 2011 7:41 pm

In the summer of 1996 (more precisely from Monday, July 1, 1996), Telemontecarlo (at the time of the Cecchi Gori Communications management) broadcast as part of the "Zap Zap" program for children, an animated series entitled "Lion & Bobo" Adventures ".
The animated series was based on the characters of the interactive telephone videogame "The Lion Trophy Show" that at the time was broadcast on the same network, or Telemontecarlo, and had been produced and realized to exploit the extraordinary, amazing, huge, incomparable, overwhelming, wonderful , rampant, impressive, overflowing, considerable, striking, disruptive, amazing, sensational, exponential, immense, unquestionable, phenomenal, devastating, unimaginable, overflowing and inestimable success of the transmission that at the time was both at the peak and at the height, and maximum point of its magnificence and increasing popularity and that had already taken flight, and the boys (and not only) did not lose an episode (and that was also one of the listening peaks (along with the sports broadcast "Galagoal" and talk-show "Flying carpet") of the Italian-Monegasque broadcaster), but also on the numerous, continuous and repetitive requests from the many loyal fans of the the transmission that clamored for new adventures of the two protagonists of the interactive telephone videogame.
In the animated series were introduced new characters such as Gugu and Marilia (the parents of Bobo), Bobiñho (the Brazilian cousin of Bobo) and also characters that are similar to Telemontecarlo as Zap Zap (the three-dimensional remote control (created by the graphic designer, art director and designer Marco Genone) who was the mascot of Telemontecarlo at the time of managing Cecchi Gori Communications, but also the mascot of the band of Telemontecarlo always at the time of managing Cecchi Gori Communications but only until 1997), but also the characters that in that period (ie 1996) worked in Telemontecarlo and rarely also the characters who worked in Telemontecarlo when the broadcaster was owned by the Brazilian commercial television network Rede Globo.
Some episodes are parodies (obviously readjusted) of some comic stories published in the comic booklet Disney in "Topolino" comics and that featured Topolino and Pippo as protagonists, or just Pippo. Other episodes were ironic about Telemontecarlo at the time of the management Rede Globo (with lots of references and inside-jokes), while others were ironic about the animated television series "Made in USA" (especially those of Disney, those of Hanna & Barbera and other studies American animation) and still others are the adventurous travels in time (taking up and partly recalculating the features, the storyline, the story arc, the storytelling and the narrative plot of the third videogame produced and produced between 1993 and 1994 (used by the 1995/96 edition of "The Lion Trophy Show" (which was broadcast on Telemontecarlo) up to the first edition of "Lion Network" broadcast on TMC2 during the 1997/98 television season), and not yet having a comic-demented, burlesque and minimalist character, and aired with the subtitle: "Walking in time with Lion & Bobo").
In addition, the figures of Lion and Bobo are interpreted as anti-heroes because their main motivation to fight Malvagius is to derive fun for young viewers and not for a simple sense of justice.
The short segment entitled "Rede Bobo" was present as an integral part (but only in 63 episodes of the 65 effective) in which the cute fat boy with black hair, dressed in a jacket and an aviator helmet (companion of adventures of Lion, as well as his best friend), was the owner of a private television station that refers to the Telemontecarlo management Rede Globo.
Each episode was always interrupted by real bumpers and promos of the transmissions of Telemontecarlo management Rede Globo (those that were transmitted on Telemontecarlo from 1986 to 1993), to make think that this was an animated series aired on Telemontecarlo at the time of management Rede Globo , although when this animated series was broadcast, the luminous Telemontecarlo was no longer used during the management of Rede Globo.
The video file seemed to be one of those videos that were made by Telemontecarlo during the management of Rede Globo with lots of titles and credits written with the font "VAGRundschriftD" and complete with the logo of Rede Globo in the logo of the animated series.

The recurring gags that were used more or less in all the episodes, were these:

- Every time Bobo said or sang the word "Telemontecarlo" came the Cartoon Kids (to understand it was the chorus that can  ,
